At Last … Help With Jobs for Felons

jobs-for-felonsSince this website started, a lot of people have stopped by looking for information on jobs for felons. While I can’t make any promises, I think by coming together and helping each other, we can help you find great indiana employment. I know you probably spend time looking for a job and don’t want to type up a post for this website, but if you speak up, maybe someone else will speak up. And if someone else speaks up, they might have some information on job openings that haven’t been announced yet. Or maybe information on felon friendly employers in Indiana.

You see where I’m going with the idea? Someone has to step forward first, and offer their voice. Together, we may be able to help find employment for people who are serious about getting not only a good job, but a good job, one that pays the bills and allows you to save money.

Jobs are scarce … for everyone … but felons sometimes have a little more trouble finding employment. Banding together and helping each other is something that could be successful. At Indiana Jobs Info, I’m offering to host a place for people to share ideas and tips on finding a job in Indiana if you’re a felon.

Anyone out there interested? I know you’re passing by … anyone want to stop by and start up a conversation about how to get you a job so you can start building your future?

Anyone?

I am a felon. Since being released from prison I have obtained an associates degree in computer programming and I am set to graduate in December with my bachelors in Information Technology. I have had issues finding a job for years. I recently found employment at a great company making decent money. However, six days after I started working I was fired at the end of my shift because of my record. My record was clearly stated in the paper work I filled out for the position. I stated my record in 3 different locations. I am now left unemployed with a wife and 2 children to support. I live in the Terre Haute area but I am willing to move anywhere. I feel like I may be forced to leave the state if I don’t find anything soon.

I am twenty was convicted of two D felonies, and have a steady job working for my father. The problem is I don’t want to work with my father for the rest of my life, I want to find a job that pays more and has more interactive work. I sit behind a desk all day and stare at a computer screen looking for other companies to call on. Does anyone know where I can find a good job that pays well?

my boyfriend and i have two beautiful twin daughters together and of course, like many hoosiers, he has a few felonies under his belt. i am not gonna lie, it has been a long hard rough road since we have been together. he has had a couple decent jobs, but his record is really holding him back. he is great at what he does, but no one will give him the chance to prove himself and his skills. nowadays, with the way the economy is, there should be no reason why a felon of whatever kind it is, should be punished for a lifetime for what a person did in the past… especially if that person learned from their mistakes to begin with. everyone deserves a second chance to be in that spotlight to provide for his or her family.

I have recently heard of a program ( have not personally checked it out but it may help)called from hard time to full time. Sponsored by work one. Call 211 for information in your county or http://www.connect2help.org. If you are in marion county workoneindy.org or 317-358-4501. Its not easy for all these days but especially hard for anyone with a felony conviction. I hope this will help!
