This code is a mess imo, you could have used header() to modify the /view_score.php crap.

But yeah, keep in mind that mysql requires addition (capitalization), your WHILE statement isn't. And I don't get why you looped with it? Why did you need to loop?

A little modified thing I wrote for your error in the $row is:

WHILE ($row = mysql_fetch_array($result)); {
echo "<tr><td><a href="view_score.php?name={$row};
echo "<td><a href="browse_scores.php?composer={$row};

I would also recommend using header() to redirect to a different you can simply

header (location: /location);

I am no expertise at MYSQL but your stuff looks messy.
